Animal Collective Sung Tongs 2004 / Fat Cat

現時獨立音樂圈令我引頸以待的唱片不多, Animal Collective 的出品是極少數的例外~ 從一鳴驚人的 “Here Comes the Indian” 到令他們真正竄紅的 “Sung Tongs”, 這班動物聯盟一直堅持撲朔迷離的獨特音樂風格, 無論是較流行化的作品或是較具前瞻性的作品, 都展示出不願隨波逐流的創意~ 聽 Animal Collective 的音樂, 就像吞了兩顆迷幻藥之後欣賞瑞士畫家克利 (Paul Klee) 的繪畫: 一方面如像萬花筒般變化萬千使人頭暈轉向, 另一方面則滿有單純活潑, 討人喜歡的童真~ 這張 “Feels” 像前作一樣, 繼續呈現出這班可愛小動物活潑可人的一面, 開場曲 “Did You See the Word” 再沒有如上張唱片般扮貓叫, 但仍是一首搶耳之極的歌曲, 一邊大玩他們拿手的營火邊齊齊引吭高歌的重唱效果, 一邊用強勁的鼓擊帶出活潑的氣氛~ 不過… 這首好歌竟然不是單之選, 皆因碟內佳作多的是~! 真正的單曲作品叫 . . . → Read More: Animal Collective – Feels [2005] the Angels of Light Everything Is Good Here/Please Come Home 2003 / Young God
Michael Gira 這名稱我不算很熟識, 畢竟他從前帶領的傳奇樂隊 Swans, 在80年代以黑暗詭異的噪音搖滾叱吒地下樂壇之時, 我還不過是個小學生而已~ 無論如何, 我也知道 Michael Gira 正是紐約另類廠牌 Young God 的老闆~ Young God 在發行 Michael 自己的音樂作品以外, 近年亦替不少出色的音樂人推出過唱片, 譬如是使人暗地裡出神的 Calla, 吟唱詩人 Devendra Banhart, 粗獷不羈的 Ulan Bator 和神秘莫測的 Larsen, 都是 Young God 旗下的猛將~ 光天使 the . . . → Read More: Angels of Light, the – Everything Is Good Here/Please Come Home [2003] |
