another missing film is straub’s last film with huillet, “these encounters of theirs”… but given the straubs’ ultra austere style, it doesn’t even fit into the film festival~!

i wonder would lynch’s 3-hour mega epic (without a conventional narrative plot!) be shown in Hong Kong’s cinema…? i think “天邊一朵雲” managed to slip into the theatre (sadly) because of its explicit sex scenes… the promotional tagline for the film is “一刀不剪”, just like “四級無格”… i may be a little too mean, but you get the idea~*

Where has Resnais gone? This question is also on my mind.

Quite possibly to be the last film by Resnais, I find no reasons the fesitval do not include this film. Extremely disappointed.

As for David Lynch, it has the chance skipping the festival and showing in cinema, this case has happened for 天邊一朵雲.

阿倫雷奈我只看過《馬倫巴》和《廣島之戀》。之後他的片都不太是這種風格，所以沒看了。

至於《Klimt》，我在電影節的名單上找極也找不到呢。

蔡明亮的電影風格上確是很相似, 不過每次都有點不一樣, 好像 “天邊一朵雲” 便是個很有趣的變奏~ 阿倫雷奈之前兩部都是歌舞片, 新片劇本改編自劇作家 Alan Ayckbourn 的作品 (”Smoking/No Smoking” 也是這配搭), 評價普遍都很不錯… “Time Regained” 在bc見過有dvd呀, 今次電影節不就是播他的 “Klimt” 嗎?

蔡明亮的電影套套也差不多，但卻有種不能言喻的毒性吸引人一看再看。

至於阿倫雷奈，除了最早期那兩套經典，其他的都未有心力去嘗試。

至於Raoul Ruiz，有看過他的《Time Regained》和《Klimt》嗎？這兩套的題材我十分有興趣，但苦無影碟和香港檔期。
